Participation à la Design Parade Toulon 2018
Le concours consiste en un exercice de style : l'aménagement d'une pièce à vivre dans une villa au bord de la mer Méditerranée.
L’espace est construit autour de deux éléments : d’une part le paysage, de l’autre, l’intervention humaine. La pièce est ici envisagée comme un paysage que l’homme aurait investi pour y trouver refuge. Recouverte d’un enduit couleur terre crue vieilli par le temps et l’érosion, elle évoque le Massif de l’Estérel. À l’intérieur, une micro architecture d’un blanc éclatant s’y déploie et marque l’intervention humaine. Inspirée des villages perchés sur les reliefs de la Méditerranée, cette micro-architecture génère la circulation et crée un second espace dans la pièce. Ce «sous espace» devient alors refuge, antre, lieu de réflexion ou d’écriture. Il est conçu comme un lieu d’introspection pour celui qui s’y ressource.
This place aims to welcome the world’s travelers in its hostel. Eager to mix native and travelers, this hostel becomes a meeting place through the medium of the game, universal way of communication.

The building serving 3 levels on a total height of 16 meters, it seemed interesting to exploit it in its height. The program is based around a vertical circulation column. Composed of steel rod filters, it gives as much to see as to hide. The visitor is led implicitly towards the places dedicated to him, revealing certain circulations leading from the ground floor to the R + 1 or from the inside to the outside. These filters can also hide traffic leading to more private places such as access to the rooms of the hostel.
Placed behind a large glass facade, this column of filters is apprehended from the street and makes this functional element of architecture the showcase of the place.
